That is a shame man..

Man whats wrong whith you, .. I'm greatfull this is happening, this is a small company with impressive instruments, after they got the debugging softwhere Jörg has posted twice about beta testing within a short period of time so you think now is a good time to start throwing cabbage like a frontman for the revolution of shame .. You must be smashing at parties :? youre likely the only spectralis owner that's not personally thrilled that this is happening..

I am tickled 80's pink that these updates are in the woks. Just started to re-engage with my Speci and even appreciate it for it's vast abilities and high quality of sound. A modular machine.
No cabbage here. I rather make a salad :D

I had some serious health issues come upon me so was out of it for a while but stabilized and ready to dig-in again.
Not even brussel sprouts.
This has been proving to be as deep as some higher tech aircraft to wrap brain around navigating, but I call the Spectralis my alien apace ship.

Spectralis 1 = Spectralis II = Spectralis again
current version 1.67

- "Seq" is now a modulation target in the DSP Sound engine (control parameters with the step sequencer)
- Song blocks can be copied now
- File Browser enhancements - now explore folders, set entire folders to dynamic loading or fixed loading, delete files. That makes it much easier to check some new samples.
- Song selection enhancements and bug fixing. Songs can be selected one after the other first and then only the desired one will be loaded on OK. That was already in there but always forced to press exit, if the wrong song was selected. Now it works, how it should work.
- Spectralis will boot even when MIDI Messages at the input occur (was a bug since last version of the Spectralis 2)
- 9/8 motivs are working now (crazy stuff)
- Target selection menu now only shows up parameters that are available
- Spectralis 2 features are available on Spectralis 1 now - you can for example work with program changes on sounds and patterns.
- Selected song now starts on the first step when you hit START.
- Trigger Modes are working on Spectralis 1
- Arpeggiator Bug Fixed on Spectralis 1 (running on 192th after a while)

Please understand, that the next version will not already include so many new features. The Spectralis now runs dfrom a complete different development system with a different compiler, assembler, Linker etc. A lot of hidden work has been done to run the firmware without errors with the new system.

System seems already very stable. But I found one bad bug in the last version that makes trouble with the pitch bend wheel recordings. I will wait until that is fixed.

So - I am sure to publish that version shortly after the NAMM. Next versions will concentrate more on new features that we can now implement for both targets simultaneously.

Care to disclose what DSP targets are awalibe now :D ...

browser enhancements ; can we now delet samples from a .SLC and SLI files within the spectralis? ...(so I could load a bank of snare drums and the delete the snares I dont like once in the spectralis and that will be the new .slc /.sli file?

- Trigger Modes are working on Spectralis 1

Is this rhe same thing as in 1.5 whereas the muting of seq lines (and a few drums parts when set to external midi) would not have an effect (the drum part was still playing from seqline even if the drum part was muted ?

& Thank you for your efforts and the update info, its very exiting ! ... I'am always amazed at how well the spectralis preforms I throw tons of stuff on parts: I'll sequence a part sometimes with a motif + 2x sequence lines , arp and wild quntize settings i.e. really pushing the system and have this feeling that things are going to break at some point but it always plays solid  I 'm amazed everytime ..

Have fun at Namm and Thank you team RT !!

Well then tatonga, in "all those years" you have only made three negative comments on this forum.
Great contribution, congratulations.

Looking forward to trying the new spectralis firmware.
"Spectralis 1 = Spectralis 2" ...Does this mean you can now put a 4 gb flash card in the spectralis 1?

The hardware will not change by an update - but the functionality and the featureset will become the same.
