Speckie and MPC1000

Postby Rowf » Mon Apr 25, 2016 9:52 am

Hello, this is my first post, :D , I have bought a Spectralis mk1 that will arrive this week if Im lucky.

I have this gear now:
Akai MPC1000 with JJOS2XL that I use to sequence all the present and future gear, and for drums and samples.
Novation K-Station, I use it as my main controller, connected to the MPC Midi In and as a sound module too.
Cyclone TT-303 and some guitar pedals for basses and acid 8)

If you had a similar setup (plus a Spectralis Mk1), how would you use the Speckie here? Send the Speckie motifs to the MPC and record them there? This way I could overlap different midi tracks, I use this a lot with the TT to find unusual slides. I record two or more tracks from the MPC to the TT and then I can mute some notes to create different grooves.

Are there may people that had changed the board to a mk2? Is it worth the money?

Thanks in advance, I hope that I will learn a lot from you guys!
