Please just ignore the label on that chip. Locate the chip by checking the placement on the board. The picture shows exactly the chip, you need to remove. The one in my footage is just a supernumerary.

Okay everyone, I took the plunge and cut the piece out!

And HOLY SH*T does it rock. It's SOOOO crazy hearing my tracks. I feel like I took cotton out of my ears for the first time.

Damn.

Damn.

My only note is that when you press the box cutter down on the pins, you need to increase your force. You'll feel the 'give' in the pin. Also, don't rest your hand on the rest of the board when pulling it out. I found myself very tempted to do so for leverage/stability.

This is amazing.

Thanks for the report, Michael. It's highly appreciated. Good to hear, that you like the new LP filter.

One of my first Spectralis demos I did in 2004. Analog filter power!

Here is a first test of it:

I cannot believe how amazing this sounds. I can't be sad about the last few years without the fully working filter, because I loved the sound it was producing, but now I'm excited to produce even crazier shit with this thing.

Done and done.
Can't be happier about it! It like a new synth without buying a new synth!

Thank the maker!

The offending member has been plucked out.
Now it sounds like the "everything's fine" audio clip.
-but i did have a scare - when powering on the unit post operation, no samples loaded..
-re-powering again and everything seems ok - is that anything to worry about (did i screw something up??)
I forgot to put my static bracelet on so i'm a little worried as it's dry weather here.
Anyways thanks for 171 and now this.

Does it now need a reboot everytime, before it finds the samples? That sounds like reset failure.
