Trigger pattern change?

Postby acemonvw » Mon Mar 04, 2013 12:29 am

Someone on my youtube vidoes asked me if there was a way to trigger pattern changes. I told them no, but... that would be quite cool and wonder... is it possible and I just don't know about it yet?

Let me clarify, to trigger pattern change from external sequencers. I recall you can tell Maschine to change to a different pattern when another device hits C3 or some other note and it will go to the next pattern... Kinda a neat idea, wonder if it's been implemented.

This one is important and has not been implemented yet, there are probably valid reasons for it, but it has been mentioned for the next OS release. If I remember correctly it was said that patterns would get triggered by midi note numbers,...so you have a play option like on the Tempest (where each pattern starts as soon as you hit its pad/note) this way you can add variations and mix up patterns in a seq arrangement, dont know if it will be like this. But as of now the best workaround is seq everything via spectralis,.. ;)
