I created multiple version from most samples. Some with and some without reverbration. Some samples have multiple velocity samples...

I was just away from the Internet for a couple of weeks and what do I find, once I´m back?

A new stable version of the Acc OS. Thanks!

Obviously I would still love more features... Still, very nice new stuff.

Did´t know I needed a shuffle setting on the Arpeggiator, till I had one. Now I want one for the sequencer, too.

Love, that you can sequence (and Arp) external gear now.

Distributing stuff through FX buses is nice (using all 4 would be even more lovely).

Nice stuff, thanks (again).

Anyone have any troubleshooting tips for the Firmware Update.exe.
I've gotten to the stage where the Accelerator is ready, but the software crashes after a split second.
I have Windows XP all service packs.

I even tried on my Windows 7, but apparently it's 32bit.
Any ideas?

Bummer, here is what i would try next:

Disable everything like anti virus and stuff thats not needed.
Remove all other USB connections, Try another USB port, try another USB cable.
How do Accelerator respond to the flash update booth mode ? Do it look ok.
Take the Accelerator to a friend who have Win XP and give it a try :)
Annoying as hell, i know but may be the fast solution.
Anyways, it sounds like the Win XP crash occurs just as it do on the Win 7, so what do these 2 systems have in common ?
Did you read my post on how i got it working further back in this thread.

Hope you find a solution...

Thank you for the reply!
Yes, the Accelerator is on standby to update. my Windows 7 is 64 bit and the update software isn't compatible (even in compatibility mode). And yes, I did copy your instructions word for word.

It really shouldn't be this hard to update the firmware.
-especially if it's USB compatible without drivers.
Why not a simple drag and drop?
Anyhow...there's got to be something else going on.
Maybe a way to sysex. I have no idea what the success rate is among Accel owners.

I won't be bringing the Accel anywhere. I'll see what the official word is on this software- maybe that needs and update first. lol
Thanks anyway

We experienced problems with some USB chipsets but the updater in general should work under XP and Windows 7. Do you have a chance to check the updater on a different computer?

BTW.: Version 1.62 is online.

Thanks for the help. I have 2 machines here.
One is running XP and the other is windows 7 64 bit. The software doesn't run on 64 bit and it crashes on XP.
The Accelerator does its part fine and goes into standby.

I don't expect to bring the Accelerator and the software to someone else to update.

Please try the following in order to overcome these USb problems:

Use a MIDI interface for the PC.
Update the Accelerator via MIDI
For the MIDI Update the Accelerator connects in both directions (MIDI OUT->MIDI IN PC, MIDI IN->MIDI OUT PC)

Then we should have a closer look to your USB issue:
Unfortunately we do not have all thinkable configurations of hardware here and tested the updater on several machines with success. It would be helpful to get some additional hardware information (mainboard, BIOS version and chipset release info). Please don't use a USB HUB (like the ports at the computer keyboard).

The software doesn't stay on screen long enough to "Scan for Accelerator". It initializes for a split second and then goes away. So if you mean to use that same app to update via MIDI, I don't see how that would work.

As far as I know USB is working fine, the Accelerator was detected.
The XP PC connected to the Accelerator was ready.
