One more thing I noticed today, that is still a bit bothersome from .97 is that dialing in sequencerline targets requires very slow turning of the knob, or else it is too easy to skip over an option or two, maybe Andreas could slow down that dial!!

You are right, revtor. That has to do with the panel firmware - which is unfortunatly not updateable via USB. We already changed the resolution a bit for the new panel firmware of the Spectralis 2. The panel software is fully compatible with the Spectralis 1 panel but involves a Atmel MCU programming device to update in the Spectralis 1 panel.

As mentioned before - I already talked with Andreas about a special realtime drum recording mode and it is possible, that we add that feature. But before that happens, all the other features have to be implemented and unfortunatly the parameter change recording is very tricky with the current sequencer and memory situation. However - it is better that Andreas works that out until its finished than starting another topic.

And last but not least - I also mentioned that in a former posting - the FX parameters are already prepared for sequencer control. That will become available sooner or later and will open a new playground...

Great Jorg! Really, those few things (and I can only speak for myself) will make the Spectralis almost perfect.

you guys rock!!

~Steve

(100% perfect would require resampling... but I'm not going there! :)

I really can t understand how a firmware can be " forgotten "

Anyway hopefully the new firmware will be available soon for us too !!

As well as the hardware upgrade..........

Realtime recording beats and rhythms with a midi pad controller would really be nice!!!

it is too easy to skip over an option or two

I agree :!:

That has to do with the panel firmware - which is unfortunatly not updateable via USB

Is it not possible to ad an option in the spectralis II panel firmware to adjust the sensibility of the encoders?

Yeah me too..I was really waiting for the midi mute, so I can continue my project, the way I want it. So it hurts a bit that spectralis 1 is just "forgotten"
Great that it was implemented, though.

You`re right. I always skip over a desired target :( and then skip back. Not a drama. The wobbling encoders upset me much more. Same shit with Polymorph encoders. But anyway both machines are fantastic
